The agenda along with the previous minutes for the FCS Annual General Meeting are available below.

The Notice of Special Resolutions for the FCS AGM is available below.

This follows an explanatory piece in the April 2025 issue of LabMed News, email notifications and site page Survey on strike action and name of our trade union, and a survey of members conducted between 12 April until 2 May 2025 seeking views on the potential removal of 'Rule 2' (the no withdrawal of labour clause in our current rules) and how we refer to ourselves as a trade union (removing the separate FCS naming, instead using Association for Laboratory Medicine for all of our education, scientific, professional and trade union activities).
We received 241 responses (of 1,264 voting members invited to participate) with the following results, giving a mandate for the Association for Laboratory Medicine Council and Federation of Clinical Scientists National Committee to propose special resolutions at this upcoming AGM.
Are you in favour of removing the no withdrawal of labour rule? - Yes = 75.1%, No = 21.2%, no response = 3.7%
Should we now use Association for Laboratory Medicine as the name for our trade union activities? - Yes = 88.4%, No = 7.5%, no response = 4.1%
Voting members unable to attend the AGM are invited to submit a proxy voting instructions form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FCSAGM2025
