Code of Conduct - Events
Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and photography or recording of an individual without consent. It also includes offensive or belittling comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion or stage of career.
All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.
Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
Event Registration Cancellation Policy
Regional events
All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].
Cancellations made 14 days prior to the event will be refunded minus a £10 administration fee. Please note that cancellations will take up to five working days to be processed and, once processed, can take between five and ten working days for the payment to be received.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will receive no refund.
Residential training course and national events
All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].
Cancellations made 21 days prior to the event will be refunded minus a £50 administration fee. Please note that cancellations will take up to five working days to be processed and, once processed, can take between five and ten working days for the payment to be received.
Cancellations made within 21 days of the event will receive no refund.
LabMedUK
All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].
Delegate places are non-transferable.
Cancellations made 21 days prior to the conference will be refunded minus a £60 administration fee. Please note that cancellations will take up to five working days to be processed and, once processed, can take between five and ten working days for the payment to be received.

Photography
Please note that for promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer present throughout the event. If you do not want your photograph to be used by the Association for Laboratory Medicine, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]
