Patient group directions petition support
LabMed is encouraging members to support a petition calling for clinical scientists and biomedical scientists to be able to use Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
The petition is currently open and calls for changes that would allow these healthcare science professionals to use PGDs, supporting their role in patient care.
The petition has received support from the Society of Clinical Scientists (SCST), which recently shared a LinkedIn post encouraging its members and colleagues across healthcare science to consider signing and sharing it.
We are asking members and colleagues to help raise awareness by signing the petition and sharing it with their professional networks.
The petition remains open until 15 January 2027.
