Training and workshop day – Monday 8 June

Sessions dedicated for biochemistry and immunology trainees. Plus, a new satellite workshop ‘Putting the patient at the heart of diagnostics’ led by Katy Heaney and Rav Sodi focused on integrating patient-centric principles (also known as person-cantered care) into diagnostic testing, to inform practice. It highlights that patients are unique individuals, shaped by cultural and emotional contexts, and aims to improve patient experience, engagement, and outcomes through a structured and interactive learning experience.

 

Main conference - Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 June

Two days of specialist panels sessions, clinical case presentations and inspiring lectures from national and international experts. Topics cover analytical strategy, patient‑centric care, sustainability, metabolic medicine, and more.

 

LabMed, aims to help widen access and encourage participation by supporting out members with bursaries. These include the Freddie Flynn bursary (up to £750), regional and national educational bursaries (up to £500), and the Moira Kaye Education Grant for those attending the microbiology training day.
