Applications open for the 2026 EFLM Scientific Research Grant
The European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) has announced the 2026 edition of its Scientific Research Grant, designed to encourage innovation and support high-quality research in laboratory medicine across Europe.
Each year, two grants of up to €10,000 are awarded — one to an applicant from a country eligible for the Vic Blaton Scholarship Programme and one to an applicant from any other European country.
As the UK’s National Society Member of the EFLM, members of the Association for Laboratory Medicine (LabMed) are eligible to apply.
The grant supports projects that advance scientific understanding and practice in laboratory medicine. Applicants must provide a detailed study budget, including all necessary reagents and consumables, and are expected to publish their findings in a peer-reviewed international journal within two years.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be members of an EFLM Full National Society Member (LabMed members qualify).
- Applicants must also be members of the EFLM Academy at the time of application.
- EFLM Executive Board officers are not eligible during their term of office.
