LabMed Corporate Members meeting

LabMed Corporate Members meeting

This meeting is a chance for our corporate members and industry partners to follow up conversations started at LabMedUK26 in Birmingham but it’s also your agenda so please let us know if there is anything you would like us to discuss.

Director of Conferences and Events, Sarah Robinson will have more to share about plans for EuroMedLab 2027 in London, including details of a planned satellite session that will be of interest to corporate members.

You’ll have a chance to meet our new President-Elect who along with current President Ian Godber will pick up any relevant recommendations from the Carter Report as well as how our members can engage with industry around the new care pathways being developed as part of the NHS England 10 Year Plan.

The LabMed team will be joined by Rob Shorten, Chair of our Microbiology Professional Committee, who is keen to open up a conversation with you about developing a forum for  how LabMed and industry (particularly SMEs and start-ups) might work more closely together on innovation. This is very much an exploratory discussion: Rob is interested in your ideas and experience, and together we hope to identify some practical ways forward.

Agenda (to be confirmed following LabMedUK26):

• Welcome and LabMed priorities – Ian Godber, President

• EuroMedLab 2027 update, including satellite session plans and other LabMed events in 2027 – Sarah Robinson

• Carter Report / NHS England 10 Year Plan: engaging industry on new care pathways – Ian Godber

• Connecting LabMed members and industry to solve real-world diagnostic challenges– Rob Shorten, Chair, Microbiology Professional Committee

As always, anyone from your organisation is welcome to join so please do pass this on to colleagues who may find it valuable.

We bring corporate members together twice a year to share insight, exchange ideas, and explore how we can work together to advance the profession, and we very much hope you'll be able to attend.
