This webinar focuses on combining the HSST in Microbiology with doctoral and other research experience, giving trainees a practical look at what this can involve alongside their day-to-day role.
Michael will share his experience of completing the DClinSci as part of his HSST, alongside other research projects. He will talk through what he learned, how he approached the different challenges and what helped him keep research moving alongside the rest of his work.
There will also be an opportunity for trainees to ask Michael questions and discuss their own experiences and research plans at the end of the session.

Following feedback from members, we are trying a new format for delivering training this year, replacing the in-person Microbiology training day at LabMedUK with free monthly webinars. The topics have been suggested by members and are delivered by senior clinical scientists and colleagues. In the final webinar of the year, trainees have the opportunity to present recent audits.
