The Federation of Clinical Scientists is hosting a series of virtual training sessions to equip our local trade union representatives, as well as our Members and Federation members, with practical information related to workplace-related topics.

The next session focuses on Working together to achieve change in your workplace and will take place on Monday 9 September 2024, 12.00 - 12.45, followed by the Annual General Meeting at 12.45-13.00, both via the same MS Teams joining link.

This training is suitable for FCS Reps and Members, and all Members are welcome to join for either the training session (12.00), AGM (12.45) or both.

Working together to achieve change in your workplace

We look forward to welcoming members and reps to our next training session which is titled ‘ Working together to achieve change in your workplace‘

We will explore how we can work together as trade union members and reps to achieve change at a local level, within our workplaces. We will look at how we negotiate, influence and apply pressure on a range of issues and hope to equip you with the ideas, knowledge and resources to utilise in a local situation.

We will look at the power of the collective in achieving change and how we raise issues in the appropriate way as a group, with the support of our reps and wider union colleagues. This will also focus on the support available to members as part of their membership and in which situations we should be involving our local and national representatives.

A focus will also be given to the role of the rep within the workplace and the importance of the work they carry out.

We will finish with a Q&A session to allow participants to discuss any areas of interest further.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
