FCS Training Session - Facilities Time & Right To Time Off

FCS Training Session - Facilities Time & Right To Time Off

The Federation of Clinical Scientists is hosting a series of virtual training sessions to equip our local trade union representatives, as well as our Members and Federation members, with practical information related to workplace-related topics.

The next session focuses on Facilities Time & Right To Time Off and will take place on Friday 7 June 2024, 12.00 - 13.00, via MS Teams.

This training is suitable for FCS Reps and Members looking to become an FCS Rep.

Following on from our previous sessions we will begin to explore facilities time and the right to time off.

We will cover what is facilities time and the legislation that supports time off for reps in the workplace. We will then go on to explore further guidance, tools and it’s benefits. We will also touch upon how to negotiate locally for time off and where to get support from should you be facing challenges with this.

There will be space at the end for discussion and questions.

Before the training I would encourage reps to seek out their local policy on Facilities Time / Time off for Union Duties.

The deadline for registration is noon on Thursday 6 June 2024. The training is free to attend, but spaces may be limited, so book your place now!
