LabMed is delighted to congratulate member and Scotland Chair Professor Seshadri Vasan on being awarded the inaugural Taylor Medal by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
The medal recognises individuals who have made a demonstrable impact in patient care, innovation and leadership, and Seshadri's career exemplifies all three. As director of research and development at NHS Grampian, his work has contributed to global efforts tackling major infectious diseases including COVID-19, Ebola and Zika, while also advancing clinical research infrastructure in the UK.
Seshadri becomes the first recipient of this prestigious award, which celebrates excellence in leadership and its role in improving patient outcomes.
We are proud to see a LabMed member recognised at this level and look forward to his continued contributions to laboratory medicine and global health.
