We’re looking for the next President of the Association for Laboratory Medicine. It’s an exciting time to be shaping the future of the Association with our new name and brand. You’ll be leading the organisation into a new five-year strategy period and helping us build on our outstanding programme of events and learning, publishing, guidance, audits, policy, partnerships and career support for members.
The President Elect is selected through an open and transparent process. We welcome applications from all members who possess the competencies outlined in the role description. Your ability to lead with innovation, foster inclusivity, and champion sustainability will be essential as we navigate the path ahead.
The Process
Submit a full CV and a 500-word statement highlighting experience, skills, and values relevant to the role description and how those attributes could contribute to lead the organisation and deliver on its strategy. The statement should include:
- Your understanding of the Association's purpose and level of engagement with activities
- How your experience and skills equip you to lead your professional body
- Your future vision for the Association
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the Nominations Committee.
The timeline
- Application deadline: midnight 22 March 2024
- Interviews: w/c 29 April 2024
- Successful candidate is recommended to Council: 14 May 2024
- Successful candidate starts term as President Elect at the AGM: 12 June 2024
