Don Henderson Award

The Don Henderson Award is presented annually at the Schools Science Conference at the University of Westminster, an event which Association member Don Henderson was instrumental in establishing. 

The Schools Science Conference, organised by science4u, strives to encourage students to study science, show the importance of science in everyday life and showcase science careers.

The Schools Conference is one of the ways the Association promotes itself to the wider community, explaining the work done by healthcare sciences and laboratory medicine and encouraging young people to take an interest in science and careers in the health services.

The Association have sponsored the award since 2011 and it consists of book tokens and presentation of a shield to the school making the best report and presentation on a piece of research they have undertaken.
