Wales committee vacancies

A number of roles are currently available on the Wales Committee. Closing date for application is Friday 20th March 2026.

Ordinary Member

  • Plays a supportive and participatory role rather than holding a specific portfolio.

  • Represent all ordinary LabMed members within the region.

  • Assist other regional committee members as required to allow them to carry out their duties.

  • Attend Wales regional committee meetings.

 

Green Champion Liaison

  • Attend a minimum of 3 committee meetings (generally held online), including the Annual General Meeting (may be online or in person)
  • Ad hoc tasks may include canvassing views on sustainability in the region, participating in wider sustainability groups, supporting sustainability projects

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Liaison

  • Attend a minimum of 3 committee meetings (generally held online), including the Annual General Meeting (may be online or in person)
  • Ad hoc tasks may include canvassing views on EDI in the region, supporting accessibility of regional projects/events, supporting EDI when seeking new committee members
  • EDI Liaison - Role description

 

Microbiology Representative

  • Ensure that Microbiologists, both trainees (e.g. STP and HSST) and non-trainees (e.g. Consultants) have a voice during committee meetings.
  • Be the main point of contact point for microbiologists in Wales region. This incudes passing information from Microbiology members adressed to the committee and disseminate information back to members.
  • Attend up to three committee meetings in a year.
  • Provide a brief report summarising regional and national issues relevant to Microbiologists at each meeting, and an annual summary for the AGM.

 

Clinical Practice Section Representative

  • Represent interest of clinical practitioners during committee meetings.
  • Attend up to three committee meetings in a year.
