Deputy editor - Annals of Clinical Biochemistry
The Annals of Clinical Biochemistry is seeking a Deputy Editor to join its editorial team.
The Annals publishes fully peer-reviewed papers and reviews from an international authorship, covering areas such as immunology, genetics, biotechnology, haematology, microbiology, computing, and management—wherever they intersect with biochemical and clinical practice. Six issues are published each year.
About the role
- Commissioning editorials and managing related submissions
- Attending monthly editorial meetings (virtual attendance possible)
- Deputising for the Editors-in-Chief at LabMed and publisher meetings when needed
- Assisting with manuscript assignments during prolonged absence of the Editors-in-Chief
- Helping to set the strategic direction of the journal
- Contributing ideas to strengthen the journal’s profile and performance
Editorial Board duties:
- Acting as an ambassador for the Annals to authors and readers
- Upholding best practices in publication ethics
- Attending the annual editorial board meeting (virtual option available)
