Chair vacancy – LabMed Trainees' Committee

The LabMed Trainees' Committee is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Chair (for immediate start). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and support trainees across the country, contribute to discussions on key training issues, and represent trainee voices at a national level.

The Chair will oversee committee activities, coordinate meetings, and liaise with stakeholders to advocate for trainees' interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent trainees and gather feedback on training-related concerns.
• Lead and contribute to committee meetings and discussions.
• Engage with stakeholders and support trainee initiatives.

Time Commitment:

• Trainees’ Committee meetings: 2 per year (both virtual).
• Ex Officio meeting representation: 4-6 per year (typically virtual)
• Trainees’ Committee event: 1 day per year (in-person)
• Preparation meetings for Trainees’ Committee event
• Preparation for Trainees’ Committee meetings
• Recommended: regular meetings between the Chair and Vice-Chair

Interested candidates should submit a short statement (max. 250 words) explaining why they wish to be considered. This will serve as a personal statement for the ballot in the event of multiple applications.
