Become the Next Chair of LabMed Southern region

Are you ready to represent and support your fellow laboratory professionals at a regional and national level? Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of our profession? The Association for Laboratory Medicine (LabMed) is seeking a dynamic, committed, and collaborative leader to take on the role of Southern Regional Chair.

As Chair, you’ll be more than a committee leader — you’ll be a voice for the region, a Director of LabMed, and a vital part of our national Council, helping influence the direction of the profession across the UK.

 What you’ll do
  • Lead your region: Chair regular committee meetings, including the Annual General Meeting.
  • Be a voice at the table: Join the LabMed Council as a Director, presenting updates from the region and bringing local issues to the national level.
  • Build community: Champion LabMed’s values locally and appoint EDI and Green Champion liaisons.
  • Support professional development: Oversee regional bursary distribution and deliver at least one online and one in-person scientific meeting each year.
  • Shape the future: Help steer LabMed’s strategy by contributing to policies, sharing insights, and ensuring your region stays informed and engaged.
