James Larcombe
Dr James Larcombe is a locum GP, and previously a partner for 31 years, in Sedgefield, Co Durham. Sedgefield was a ‘Beacon Practice’ for antibiotic stewardship. James is an NHSE GP tutor, RCGP examiner and co-moderator of the NICE GP panel. After authoring the child UTI chapter for BMJ Clinical Evidence he joined the NICE guideline group and then completed a PhD on adult UTI. Recently he has, as a team member, co-authored two NIHR research projects on catheter infections and papers on insect bites. He has expertise in acute and Long COVID and co-wrote the Sepsis module for eLearning-for-Health.
