11.15 Decoding infections through radiology - Monika Radike
Laboratory medicine and radiology share a common ground in their ability to explore and understand the invisible. Moreover, this intersection has the potential to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, improve diagnostic precision, and advance research for better clinical outcomes. This talk explores imaging techniques used to study infection and inform clinical care. Different radiological modalities can reveal pathophysiological changes caused by infections, aiding in diagnosis, management and monitoring. Case-based overview of common pathological imaging findings in infection, including imaging of tuberculosis, fungal diseases and abscesses will serve as an illustrative guide.
